As killed caregiver is not only experienced in taking care of adults but has other key areas to focus on. This includes learning how to control the disease, making the seniors feel happy, managing child-like behavior, and taking care during sickness.<\/p><p>Apart from the above services, nursing care for elderly patients also includes effective communication with patients. We all know that as people grow old, they tend to fall prey to loneliness. The pangs of isolation, combined with deteriorating health, make matters worse.<\/p><\/div>\n                                            <div class=\"ct-tab-content \" id=\"ct_tabs-748d277-2385a82\"><p>The primary responsibilities of a geriatric care manager are:\u00a0Coordinating elder care between multiple service providers. Developing both short and long term care plans. Helping manage emotional concerns, stress, and anxieties.<\/p><div class=\"post_text\"><div class=\"post_text_inner\"><div class=\"entry-body\"><p>Caregivers represent the pillars of respect, love, compassion, and companionship, which make them unique in their field.<\/p><ul><li>The geriatric nurse\u2019s responsibilities are not only limited to caring for the patients. It also involves treating them well and checking for any medical ailments.<\/li><li>They follow a patient-centric road map to reach innovative solutions.<\/li><li>They collaborate with physicians, families, therapists, and social workers to improve elderly patient\u2019s life.<\/li><li>The geriatric nursing courses also cover regular monitoring and documenting the patient\u2019s progress within established timelines.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n                                            <div class=\"ct-tab-content \" id=\"ct_tabs-748d277-05322fb\"><p>On a day-to-day basis, a geriatric nurse performs any, some, or all of the below activities:<\/p><ul><li>Oral feeding<\/li><li>Sponging \/ Bathing<\/li><li>If required, giving the pan<\/li><li>From time to time provide medicine as per the consulting general physician\u2019s prescription<\/li><li>Vital Signs checks (Body temperature\/Sugar check, BP monitoring, pulse, and oxygen saturation check)<\/li><li>Change adult diaper as and when required<\/li><li>Provide oxygen as and when required<\/li><li>IV injection<\/li><li>Maintain catheter<\/li><li>Ryles tube feeding<\/li><li>Bi-level device operation<\/li><li>Assist patients in all activities<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n            \t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n        <\/section>\n        \t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Geriatric Care Is a coordinator for elderly patients who have physical and mental disorders.
